Cine Europa 14 part 1

Another year, another Free European Film Fest :D

Anyway, I didn't feel like going out today hence I'm missing out on today's movies. I managed to watch the Friday and Saturday screenings.

You can view the entire schedule here. Do note that the schedule sometimes changes.

19 films. No time to watch them all due to work weeks; twas last year's limitation as well. haha.

Princess (Prinsessa), Finland's entry is my favorite of the eight that I've seen so far.
As mentioned in their official website:
Princess, based on real-life events, tells the moving story of Anna Lappalainen.  Lappalainen, claiming to be "Princess", spent 50 years of her life as a patient at Kellokoski Psychiatric Hospital, where she healed  and brought joy to those around her through her lovable personality.
Good music, good acting and, for me, drives home the point that people should be treated as people regardless of their mental condition.

The other seven are listed below according to personal preference:
  1. An Ordinary Execution (France)
  2. Long Weekend (Belgium)
  3. The Escape (Denmark)
  4. Goethe! (Germany)
  5. Grapes (Czech Republic)
  6. Letter to America (Bulgaria)
  7. Little Robbers (Austria)
The listing will probably change if I end up watching other films during the course of next week.
