Turbulence

Window seat. The clock shows 20:40
A dark runway.
I see a white light flashing twice in a span of a second just beneath the wing - a signal to show where the plane is.
Elsewhere, the lights of Iloilo City shine - a certain aura of drowsiness faint in the air.
PAL feels so American for some reason.
So here we go. We reach the proper altitude. The video screens are showing some mute prank show and I have an acute feeling of people checking me out. Yeah, I'm full of shit sometimes.
The flight attendants walk by and pass out the coffee, tea or water routine and I get my rations:
1 bag salted greaseless peanuts
3 pieces of wheat crackers
1 cup of mineral water
They are free for once, unlike another airline. There's just something too clinical with PAL though.
We go through a thunderstorm and the rocking starts. I've felt worse riding Anchor's Away in EK but the difference is I'm not holding on to a cup of water in my hand.

Let's just say that it was a good thing that there was no one seated at the middle seat. It'd have look like a major piss stain.

Tis not my first time with turbulence but that was certainly the most interesting one.
